FAQ
Why does this use an elastic headband instead of a rigid one?
Per the manufacturer's design notes, the adjustable elastic headband is meant to fit a newborn's head size and shape without the uneven pressure a rigid headband earmuff (sized for older children/adults) could cause. We haven't independently lab-verified infant safety beyond the published acoustic rating.
At what age should a child move to the KM series (Kids Earmuffs) instead?
This BM series is positioned by the manufacturer up to roughly 3 years (see BM-3/BM-5/BM-7 for the 3-months-to-3-years range); the Kids Earmuffs category (KM series) uses a more conventional rigid headband and isn't explicitly age-gated on the catalog. Confirm sizing fit for your buyer's target age directly.
